"A row of gumtrees" - is about the bright, warm colours that shine through the trees that line the driveway of my family's farm in central west NSW, as the sun sets behind them.

This piece features flowing lines of blush, cream, beige, and hints of lilac, burnt umber and olive green.

Abbey Bryon is an abstract artist, originally from rural New South Wales, now based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Working from memory and experience, and informed by the country and coastal landscapes of her home, her work is intuitive, unforced, and organic.

She works with traditional mediums such as acrylic, charcoal and oil, and often incorporates found materials like cloth, sawdust and wood chips into her pieces.
