Ku-Ring-Gai Night contemplates the transition from day to night, with emphasis on the 'golden hour' - a time of day when the sun shines harshly and enlivens the bush with its intense, deep foliage colours.
Painted using the shadows cast from a Banksia tree outside the artist's studio, she is reliant on the weather to create the composition of the artwork.
