My paintings are particularly focusing on colour and geometrical forms. They are explorations of rhythm, compositions, surface, space, and tones. Using natural elements of design my work references personal experience, memory, music, dance and pays homage to abstract art.
I am completely seduced by colour and anomalous forms, its energy and its power to express and evoke emotion. All the detail and breadth of flowing things that fuels a desire for connectivity amongst materials, colours and shapes in the painting.
I am playing with colour and geometry based on nature, something that has attracted me for a long time to observe one flower’s shapes, edges, colours, shadows and patterns, it is hard to describe what it was that made the binding of two or more colours or shapes so memorable.
