Artwork Description

The surfboard features a stunning hand-painted scene, seamlessly sealed beneath a glossy coat of clear epoxy resin that enhances the colours and adds a sense of depth, like sunlight shimmering off water. The artwork captures the iconic Bondi Icebergs in the foreground — the crisp, turquoise-blue of the swimming pool contrasting beautifully against the white concrete edges. You can see a few swimmers mid-stroke, others lounging poolside, basking in the summer sun.

Just beyond the Icebergs, Bondi Beach stretches out in a soft arc, its golden sands dotted with sunbathers, beach umbrellas, and locals playing in the surf. The ocean transitions from a soft aqua near the shore to a deeper sapphire further out, with gentle waves rolling in under a sky painted in clear summer hues.

In the distance, the Bondi Pavilion stands as a recognisable landmark — its creamy art deco architecture and arched colonnades framed by nearby shops and cafés bustling with beachgoers. The buildings are rendered in a slightly looser style, adding to the warm, dreamy feel of a perfect Sydney summer day.

The artwork is not only visually striking but deeply evocative, capturing the laid-back energy and iconic beauty of Bondi in a way that turns the surfboard into both a functional ride and a collector's art piece.
