closing time

Six-thirty in the evening and as I went through the checkout I saw a guy crashed out face down with his groceries all over the floor. Sleeping...as people often do out and about. Shoppers were coming and going around him, giving a wide berth to old mate who wasn't moving. I asked the checkout chick if anyone had checked to see if he was having a diabetic dropout. Nope, she said. He'd been there all afternoon drinking and misbehaving and just wouldn't leave and eventually time and gravity defeated the blighter.
