Artwork Description

Mixed Media on wood

Signed on the front.

painting of a sad lady waiting to see her oncologist. With cancer cases on the rise everywhere, young and old, I see it only fitting to paint that which fill the world around us, and cancer I see, is everywhere. It's in the air, it's in the food, it's in the palm of your hand (I'm talking cell phones).
It could be in the person laughing next to you at the movies, a mass growing silently, yet undiscovered like a rigid abscess on the stomach or lung. One day that cough that won't go brings up something more than phlegm, something redder, or that twisting pain in the gut after dinner something a little worse than an ulcer. At the end of the age while the mega-corps are raking it in the masses are dying en-masse in their custom-designed carcinogenic bake-houses. And still folks just can't get them phones out their hands. Why stop at 5G? Let's go for six or seven. And just when one thinks the cancer pandemic can't get worse just wait till one morning soon when we all wake to the announcement of the devil's next deception: subdermal microchips that integrate the whole kit and kaboodle.
The games my friends are about to begin.
