Rock shelf on Northern Beaches, NSW, Australia
Rock shelves, or reef shelves, are an interesting environment, disappearing with high tide and remerging in the receding waters of low tide. To capture this image I was jumping and running over waves that were coming in with the tide, guided only by the lights from a near by park and those over the water. It was not easy to see exactly what I photographed but i was pleased when this appeared on the camera screen.
