Artwork Description

As we edge closer to our own extinction, I wonder what will become of the natural world in our wake. A delicate world leaves behind the harshest of truths. This scene is set on a dried wasteland that was once an ocean front. Only the structures of mangroves remain.

This piece will capture the attention of guests, and create a real conversation point on the message behind the work. It will add a touch of colour to any room, despite the grim nature.
Upon closer inspection you can become lost in the texture of the brushwork and rich saturation of the pigment in the oils used, and really get a sense of the brutal existential reality which inspired this work.

Artist Bio

My artwork revolves around the darker aspects of human and natural life and makes use of a more detailed approach to capturing my own experiences and understanding of the world. While not entirely political or religious, my work represents beauty and grit, mechanical and natural.
As I have a strong interest in science and more logical representations of reality, I employ this kind of thinking to my art - resulting in images that are structured and precise while also deep and thought provoking. Mine and mankind’s place in the world and our influence on nature and what the future holds are recurring motifs in my work. Images I create vary in medium from traditional acrylic on canvas to ink or pencil drawing, even digital. I have a natural affinity for detail and many if not all of my artworks will contain extensive work on the story, the image and the purpose.
