Beyond my shadow

This piece reflects the dialogue between self and shadow. Through layers and colour, i explore identity as both presence and absence. The shadow becomes not just a silhouette, but a memory, a feeling - revealing the unseen parts of me that shape who I am. It is the echo of my thoughts, the quieter self that watches, remembers, and holds what I cannot always show.

Adél is a contemporary Australian artist based in Perth. Specialising in portraiture, figures, and botanicals, she discovered her passion for art later in life and pursued it wholeheartedly since 2016. A graduate of the Milan Art Institute’s Mastery Program, Adél brings depth and emotion to her work by capturing light and weaving in themes of hope, strength, and empowerment. Through her paintings, she tells stories that inspire self-discovery and freedom. She is dedicated to painting, teaching, exhibiting, and growing her art business and studio.
