Artwork Description

Inspired by my journey through Nara, Japan, this watercolour captures the quiet beauty and gentle spirit of the deer that wander freely through the ancient city. Soft washes of colour and delicate details reflect the peaceful connection between nature, culture, and memory.

Artist Bio

I am an emerging Adelaide-based artist and Fine Arts student with a lifelong passion for painting, photography, and storytelling. I have been creating art for as long as I can remember, with painting always being a meaningful part of my creative journey.

While my primary practice is photography, I have always been drawn to the expressive possibilities of paint by using colour, texture, and brushwork to capture feelings, memories, and moments of connection. My background in photography influences the way I approach painting, with a focus on composition, atmosphere, and the small details that make a place or moment feel special.

My work is often inspired by nature, travel, and personal experiences, exploring themes of memory, beauty, and our connection to the world around us. As I continue developing my practice through my Fine Arts studies, I am excited to share my paintings with a wider audience and invite others into the stories behind each piece.
