Aiman Numaan is a Sydney based artist inspired by the colours, hues, light and shadows, textures and the visual beauty of everything in nature around her. She has a special eye for 'chiaroscuros' and often finds it irresistible to bring out the deep variations and subtle gradations of light and shadow, darkest darks and lightest lights, on canvas. Taking inspirations from scenes out of everyday life; be it driving by a beautifully sunlit rose garden or a hike with her little ones to a pathway leading up to water streams reflecting off the filtered out sun rays, she would stop to capture photos of the scenes and reproduce them on canvas in vivid, deep colors created with a style that is often a fusion of impressionism and realism; paying careful attention to bringing out form through bold application of lights and darks; the end product leaves the viewer awe struck.
Her passion for art started at a very young age and only grew over the years along with her talent. She pursued her bachelor and later on master's degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Graphic Design, however her real love is confined to painting, where she immerses her heart and soul, a cursed perfectionist.
As someone with a zest for colour, specifically the interplay of hues in nature, she strives to incur these qualities in her works for an effect that is very alive, yet also soothing.
