Artwork Description

I have always loved Australian pelicans with their soft pink beaks and bright eyes. I painted this from a photo taken by my husband on the Central Coast of NSW a few years back. This is my first large format painting.
This was painted in about 6 layers and the dried painting was varnished for its protection. The painting is initialed on the front in oil paint. I have signed and dated it on the back, but this is currently obscured by the Tasmanian oak frame. A certificate of Authenticity can be provided, if desired.

Ainsley began pursuing art and design in mid 2024 after working in teaching, floristry, aged care, and raising three children. Ainsley has had a life-long interest in the visual arts and is pursuing this new avenue following encouragement from four of her elderly clients, Ben, Shirley, Nan and Maddie. She began oil and landscape painting in 2024 and is having lessons with the wonderful Christina Rogers.
