Artwork Description

Introducing the grand finale of the Creamy series, "Creamy Kombis." This marks the culmination of a remarkable artistic journey that began with "The Creamy Canals" as its first edition, followed by "The Creamy Beach Shacks" as the second, and now, we proudly present "The Creamy Kombis."

In crafting this final masterpiece, "Creamy Kombis," I sought to strike a harmonious balance between the distinctive essence of its series predecessors while giving it a unique identity all its own.

The choice of featuring Kombis as the central theme was a delightful suggestion from a longtime art collector and friend, Claire Cooper (thank you legend). The idyllic summery scene, complete with a pool, palm trees, a candy-hued sunset, and an inflatable rubber duck float, draws inspiration from memories of a pastel coastal motel getaway.

Keen observers will note the addition of a novel element to this artwork—a delectable twist in the form of the "cyclone ice pole," alongside the classic ice creams that have served as the inspiration for the Kombis' vibrant colors.

As I wrap up this series, there's a bittersweet sense of completion. Crafting these original paintings has been an immensely enjoyable journey. However, it's now time to draw this series to a close and transform them into exclusive, one-of-a-kind pieces of art, each with its own distinctive charm.

Artist Bio

I have been a professional artist for over 10 years. The journey started as soon as I could hold a pencil and the rest is history...

Born and raised in Darwin NT and then moved to Perth where I studied and graduated from a Bachelor of Arts 2014 and then a Bachelor of Health Science 2018. From 2018-2021 I combined my art and health profession by facilitating one on one and group art therapy sessions. Since the end of 2021 I have been a full time artist.

I love experimenting with a range of art mediums but my go-to is acrylic paint on canvas. I also have a range of different styles, from real-life to surrealism. However, I consistently stick with a very bright and colourful palette.

I am currently painting a range of large scale murals across Western Australia and eager to venture across other regions of Australia to add more colour.
