Taking Flight

"Taking Flight" is a 90x60cm acrylic and spray paint artwork on canvas, featuring a slim 1cm profile. This piece draws inspiration from the majestic brolgas, the serene wetlands, and the enchanting cotton candy sunsets of Murujuga (Dampier Peninsula, Broome). Experiencing the graceful dance and flight of these magnificent birds stirs something deep within the soul. This painting seeks to capture their beauty and elegance, inviting viewers to feel the magic of these extraordinary moments.

I have been a professional artist for over 10 years. The journey started as soon as I could hold a pencil and the rest is history...

Born and raised in Darwin NT and then moved to Perth where I studied and graduated from a Bachelor of Arts 2014 and then a Bachelor of Health Science 2018. From 2018-2021 I combined my art and health profession by facilitating one on one and group art therapy sessions. Since the end of 2021 I have been a full time artist.

I love experimenting with a range of art mediums but my go-to is acrylic paint on canvas. I also have a range of different styles, from real-life to surrealism. However, I consistently stick with a very bright and colourful palette.

I am currently painting a range of large scale murals across Western Australia and eager to venture across other regions of Australia to add more colour.
