Artwork Description

'The Loggerhead' captures the ancient, rhythmic beauty of a sea turtle gliding through a vibrant, surging ocean. Rendered with bold, expressive brushstrokes and rich textures, this piece explores the dynamic interplay of deep crimsons, rich ochres, and fluid sea blues, bringing a sense of life, energy, and marine wonder to any space

Artist Bio

I am a landscape and marine artist based in New South Wales and a proud member of the Berrima District Art Society (BDAS). After discovering a passion for painting later in life—turning to the canvas two years ago as a powerful way to navigate recovery after a serious injury—art has become my defining creative outlet.
While I have a deep affinity for painting land-based horizons, I am equally captivated by seascapes and the vibrant, kinetic energy of undersea scenes.
My artistic style sits at a fascinating crossroads. While traditionally aligned with the Impressionist camp, I am currently collaborating with my mentor, Wayne Davis, to explore the raw emotional freedom of Expressionism. This evolution is defined by heavily textured layers, dynamic movement, and a rich, immersive color palette that brings the ocean's unique inhabitants to life. Through my work, I aim to capture not just a scene, but the moving spirit and healing power of the natural world.
