I am a painter and photographer based in Melbourne.
My work explores love, death, nature, loss, grief and perception. I use my practice to explore deeply personal and political issues as a means of self expression. It is a response to the current state of the world and examines an individuals place within it. My work invites the viewer to explore their relationships to themselves, each other, and the wider world while contemplating the influences that have lead to their current world views and ways of being. Each work is an emotion felt, put into a physical form and a visual language for topics I struggle to express verbally. The sharper edges of life, pain and the unmeasurable depths of grief with cannot be understood intellectually or expressed purely with language, only felt within yourself. These works allow viewers to find connection through shared human experiences.
