Artwork Description

Simple flower paintings in acrylic on board. I love the vivid colours of the proteas and their unique surface texture, but I have tried to keep them in this painting to give it a design feel to it.

Artist Bio

AL YARLETT

I have always found a way to express myself and my love of people and nature
through my art. I am self taught and have been drawing since I was 5. As the
times change, so does the expression and medium of art and I have had to
teach myself the fundamentals of digital art to keep up with the times. I have
spent the last few years working on these skills and am currently in the
process of setting up my own online art business which will launch in 2022.
These past few years have been a great learning experience for me and I have used my time to
explore different mediums and different subject matter and am excited for my new venture
ahead.
I am mostly inspired by people and nature and the personalities and depth which makes us all
unique, but I also love to incorporate the drama of both the past and the future into some of my
more personal work, leaving the viewer to ponder on what was and what is to come. I find this
helps me understand and appreciate the world better, as sometimes it is hard for me to feel
connected with other people, as I don't have my family or childhood friends around anymore and
can feel like an alien in a strange place sometimes. I realize that we all feel this way more than
we realize and I believe art and music helps unite people in a way that transcends our
sometimes awkward social encounters.
