Artwork Description

"A.A.J said that our soul and body are interconnected to each other. We have been given this life to fulfil all our desires, wishes and wants that can be achieved with the synchronization of both body and soul. We cannot achieve anything even if one of it is not connected. Our body and soul needs to connect to each other and to the universe to achieve all our desires and to reach our destination and full fill our purpose. This combination is essential as it helps us to grow in both the world, soul helps us to grow in spiritual world and body takes us ahead in the materialistic world, growth is our nature. We are born to grow and to go ahead in our journey, the backward leap is not our part and does not define us. We need to respect our soul as well as body to achieve our dreams, and through this interconnection that we evolve and enlightened. We need to grow simultaneously in both the world then only our growth is considered remarkable and is appreciated. We are incomplete if the sync of body and soul is not there. We must do good things that support our soul and body and gives them the strength to survive in both worlds, only through this combination we can fulfil all our dreams. When we do nice things, ethical things our body gets the strength to survive in a materialistic world and our soul gets stronger to survive in the spiritual world, the stronger the connection the better is the chance of survival and growth. Learn to respect all our desires, intuition, feeling and emotions because through that we develop and evolve and create our identity."

Artist Bio

Alejandra Sieder is a Venezuelan-born, Australian and Spanish contemporary artist based in Sydney. Trained in Graphic Design at the Hans Neumann Design Institute in Caracas, her visual language was shaped by the legacy of Latin American masters Jesús Soto and Carlos Cruz-Diez, whose work taught her that art is not simply observed—it is experienced.

Having lived in Venezuela, Spain, Norway and Australia, Sieder draws from contrasting landscapes, cultures and emotional experiences. Her practice moves between geometric precision and organic expression, exploring perception, memory, movement and transformation. Through layered textures, monochromatic structures, expressive gestures and light-reactive pigments, she creates abstract works that shift with their environment and invite a personal emotional response.

Her recent Australian exhibitions include Affordable Art Fair Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Internationally, her work has been presented at Affordable Art Fair Berlin, Austin and Hong Kong, as well as Spectrum Miami, where she received the Best International Exhibitor Award in 2024.

Sieder was a finalist in the 2025 OMNIA Art Prize in Melbourne and has received multiple finalist selections associated with the Lethbridge Art Prize. Her work has also been exhibited in Singapore, London, Edinburgh, Madrid and Norway and is held in private collections internationally.

Each painting is conceived as an emotional map—a meeting point between structure and intuition, stillness and movement, the visible world and the inner landscape.
