Artwork Description

"Harmonious Fusion: Exploring the Organic and Op Art"

This captivating series of artworks brings together the best of two artistic worlds, seamlessly merging the mesmerizing allure of the organic with the captivating intrigue of Op art. Created using a masterful combination of oil, ink, and watercolour, this collection showcases the artist's visionary talent and willingness to explore new frontiers.

In the Organic series, nature's symphony unfolds gracefully on canvas, as fluid lines and vibrant colours come together to form abstract shapes reminiscent of natural elements. The artist's brush dances with elegance, breathing life into each piece and evoking a sense of serenity and vitality. The viewer is transported to a world where imagination flows freely, and the beauty of the natural world reveals itself in unexpected ways.

Opposite this organic reverie lies the realm of Op art black and white. Bold and mesmerizing patterns emerge, drawing the eye into a hypnotic journey of optical illusion. Precision and intricacy are the artists' allies, as they deftly manipulate lines and shapes to create visual puzzles that challenge perception. Each artwork is a captivating enigma, enticing the audience to engage and explore the depths of visual fascination.

In this groundbreaking series, the artist has ingeniously fused the two styles, resulting in a harmonious and awe-inspiring collection. The organic forms blend seamlessly with the mesmerizing Op art patterns, creating a dynamic interplay of contrasts and complements. This fusion sparks a profound dialogue between the natural and the abstract, awakening a profound sense of connection and unity.

"Harmonious Fusion: Exploring the Organic and Op Art" invites the viewer on an enthralling journey of discovery, where boundaries blur, and new artistic frontiers are charted. Each artwork in this series represents a unique intersection of creativity, passion, and innovation, as the artist invites us to witness the unfolding of an extraordinary artistic metamorphosis.

Artist Bio

Alejandra Sieder is a Spanish-Australian artist who is currently living and working in Sydney, Australia. Sieder’s paintings are an abstract interpretation of her personal perception of the world around her and an exploration of the introspective self.

1.- EXPRESSING CONSCIOUSNESS:

Given that Sieder’s paintings are an exploration of consciousness and interiority, each work is different as it expresses a different mental process. While some pieces feel sombre and almost claustrophobic others are far softer and lighter, transmitting an atmosphere of hopefulness. Her work centres on the analysis of the human condition and how we respond to the situations we are confronted with.

2.- SUBJECTIVITY & MATERIALITY:

Sieder’s works start as personal subjective pieces, but once in the public realm move farther away from the personal and psychological, given the non-objective nature of abstraction. Sieder uses an innovative range of materials in her pieces, such as oil, acrylic, sand, ink, iron shavings and resin. These materials add an impasto physicality to the canvas that brings a new dimension and mimics her underlying emotional process.

3.- PRIZES & INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIONS:

Sieder has artworks in private and corporate collections and has exhibited in shows worldwide in countries such as Spain, Germany, Norway, Australia, the UK, and the USA. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, Sieder has been selected as a finalist for the Contemporary Art Award in Australia three years in a row.
