Artwork Description

Inspired by the unforgettable performance of top Spain flamenco dancers Juan Tomás de La Molía and Águeda Saavedra in their spectacular show "Interpersonal" at Teatro Cajasol.

Artist Bio

Alena Sataeva is an artist and flamenco dancer with a background in fashion design and live event illustration.

With a focus on dance, Alena loves capturing the strength, power, and emotion of dancers. She often draws inspiration from performances around the world, making her art perfect for anyone who wants to bring the energy of dance into their home or office.

Alena regularly travels to Spain, particularly Seville, to take classes and intensive courses with leading professional flamenco teachers and schools, further developing her understanding of flamenco dance, structure, palmas, and music. She has also attended the Bienal de Flamenco festival to experience world-class international concerts.

She produces original artworks from A3 to larger formats using wet-on-wet techniques, where the ink flows and blends in cool, unexpected ways. She works from her private studio in Adelaide, Australia, and her prints are sold at the Flamenco Dance Museum in Seville.
