Subtlety of Spirit

"Subtlety of Spirit" was made in response to the unassuming cacophony of energy that abounds in the natural spaces near my home. The resulting work is a contemplative abstract painting that reveals itself slowly through subtle layers and intentional, energetic mark-making. Layers of gestural lines and muted tones are revealed and hidden under a soft veil of green that invites the viewer to discover the nuances beneath the surface. These marks evoke the movement and memory of the forrest, offering a work that feels both peaceful and alive. Note: This is a one-off, original piece. The work has been made on triple-primed, 100% cotton canvas of 380 GSM. The piece comes floated in a natural pinewood frame. The artwork has been varnished for protection and longevity with NAM Satin Varnish.
