Alex was born in South Africa and took his first photograph at the age of five of a den of lions at a national park.
Since then, he graduated to a vintage SLR film camera that he found at a flea market. He then experimented with several photographic mediums and styles before moving to a digital platform. Today he primarily uses Nikon digital equipment along with a collection of specialised lenses to capture the spectacular images presented on this site.
Currently residing in Western Australia, Alex has a broad range of photographic interests including: landscape, nature, portrait, macro and abstract. Alex enjoys pushing the envelope to hone his skills in the craft, endeavouring to create memorable images that highlight the importance of our natural world.
