Artwork Description

Inspired by a single photo, where the photographer had succeeded brilliantly in capturing the distant hills as flat colour. I believe the hills are in China. No indication of light, yet light was evident in how the colours of the hills juxtaposed themselves.
Could I recreate that effect in paint? I painted four as a set, the smallest one already sold. This is the third of the trio, and would work together as a group. Priced accordingly.
As a three-picture display is my preference, happy (through Blue Thumb) to accept $1200 (AUS) for all three

More expensive to buy separately.

Artist Bio

Ex Danger Mouse animator, sometime editorial and gag cartoonist, arguably the greatest James Bond, eccentric billionaire. Presently signing as "Munro", which may be confusing (there is another Munro exhibiting on Blue Thumb). I will sign as McGookin on the rear of the painting before sending artwork.
New paintings will be signed "McGookin" on the front.

This makes the "Munro" paintings collectors items. Just saying.

All my work on Blue Thumb is acrylic/water based paint, I create an image based on anything I think might work, or see in my day to day life, whatever grooves me.
This isn't a great marketing strategy, btw, because prospective customers like themes and labels. They want to be able to pigeonhole artists as "that roses lady" or "the dot painting guy' which is totally understandable. I actually give talks on how to sell artwork, believe it or not, because wearing my other hat I'm a professional cartoonist, so I've sold a lot, but so-called fine art is very different, and thus far I've broken all my own rules. As far as Blue Thumb is concerned, I'm just starting out. I uploaded some work way back to establish my account, but have not been active, and when you're not active, you disappear, that is the nature of the internet.

This will change.

I'm originally from the Northern hemisphere, brought up in Germany and living in the UK, so I tend to think of things like snow, drizzle, grey clouds, or the feeling of cold with fondness, (which I didn't feel when I lived there!) I'm going to start specializing to a greater extent, and become known as THAT guy. Precisely what THAT is, will become apparent later.
