Artist Bio

Asbirdman (Alex Singleton) – Artist, Educator, and Muralist

Asbirdman, also known as Alex Singleton, is a visual artist, educator, and muralist based in Oxford. With a background in street art, printmaking, and large-scale public works, his practice explores the intersection of urban creativity, storytelling, and community engagement.

His murals and commissions can be found across the UK, bringing vibrant narratives to public spaces. As an experienced educator, Alex teaches dynamic art workshops, specializing in drawing, printmaking, and expressive mark-making. He has collaborated with institutions like the Bodleian Library, leading projects that connect traditional techniques with contemporary expression.

Alex is also the author of Seven Years of Making Street Art: Cans and Caps, a deep dive into his journey through street art, now available on Asbirdman.net.

Beyond his personal practice, he consults on AI-generated art, exploring its creative and ethical implications, and works with Oxford University on integrating AI into artistic discourse.
