I paint for the love of layers, textures, shapes and colours, and what motivates me is the meaning that comes from the interpretation of the painting that is coming alive. I never really know how a painting will finish, but someway down the track of working with the painting the next step appears. This process is exciting and gets me looking forward to what my next painting will look like.
I have been exploring and discovering my creativity my whole life. In 2017 I began to approach my painting with a stronger intention.
When people ask me to describe my paintings I say they are in the style of expressive abstract paintings, Sometimes I use figurative shapes and faces.
I find inspiration in music, nature, architecture, shapes, colours, emotions and cultures. Daily life provides an abundance of inspiration for me.
