I was inspired by the husks of Terminalia catappa (Tropical Almond) seed from the beach where I come for contemplation. I found magical and fascinating beauty in that organic natural shape emulates the Mandorla. Purity, timelessness, and life force in a circle were my started ideas. In this series, I compare protecting almond shape from nature with a woman, describing the glories of femininity, maternity and the idea of rebirth. „Soul resting in the husk” is a fantasy of the human soul resting in a small, micro part of the landscape, like a husk, while our body enjoys looking at the glittery sea on the beach.
