Summit light

A painting in the Australian Escarpment series of works. One of the best views of the spectacular Mt Barney comes from the peak of Mt maroon just slightly to the north. On this particular morning hike i found the air quality to be quite low from the increased back burning from the region. The smoke haze tinged the landscape blue creating an interesting aspect as the sunlight hit the east peak of Mt Barney. Being September spring had hit the mountaintop and all the flora was in bloom creating a sweet smell in the air.
