when i am hiking through the rainforest by far my favourite tree is the strangler figs, they stand taller and hold such a presence that i cant help but stop and take in their glory. this one is a good 3 hour hike off trail up a little tributary of obi obi creek it stands tall over the decaying corpse of another giant fig tree that fell during a storm
