When I am out hiking and I come across these massive trees almost every time I will stand under them and look up towards the canopy. There is something about that perspectice that I feel really captures the size and prominance of these old trees. Near where I lived in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast there was a nature reserve, this tree was by far the largest tree in that whole space, towering well above all other trees it is a true giant.
This piece was a feature in my From The Trees exhibition as the centerpiece for a large exhibition of tree based artworks.
