Artwork Description

In a world of chaos, connection and humanity are often overlooked. Yet the smallest gesture can make the biggest impact on another's life.
"Humanity" is a charcoal illustration of an elderly woman taking comfort in her son's offered hand as he shares his most precious gift - time and presence. An illustrative scene created from the depths of a larger image of a man by his mother's side in a hospital. An image that both haunted me and inspired me as it reminded me of the preciousness of life.

I hope it resonates with others and inspires them, to slow down and connect with those most important to them while they can, especially with those who may be going through a time of ache. This is not an image of loss or heartache but of hope, connection and love.

A symbol of humanity.
