Alicia Benetatos is a contemporary artist from beautiful Melbourne, Victoria.
She was formally trained in Graphic Design but always had a strong love for the fine arts. Her love for painting started from a very young age and she always dreamed of one day becoming a painter. As life would have it, painting ended up taking a back seat to her 12 year long career in digital print.
After starting a family and living through a global pandemic she decided it was time to get back to what she loved most – painting.
Alicia’s style is intuitive, colour driven and full of layers and texture. Her style of art allows her to paint freely. She never knows what the end result will be when she starts a new painting and she finds the unknown of this creative process exciting. Alicia draws her inspiration from the love of colour, everyday surrounding and life experiences. She creates a depth to her work with the numerous layers of colour and texture, evoking an energy and emotion that she hopes people connect with.
