In my previous life as a vintage merchant I amassed a very large collection of vintage fabrics from all eras. I absolutely adore the designs of these old fabrics so am enjoying including them in the backgrounds of my still life paintings.
This banksia flower I found in St Kilda, Melbourne insisted I added some retro 1960/70's fabric designs behind it - I agree they go perfectly, along with the little 70's vase it sits in.
