These tiny dried twigs and flowers take on the appearance of a full grown tree under the macro lens eye. My mother is so accustomed to the strange variety of nature that I photograph, that is has become a common occurrence for her to arrive with a gift of dried up old leaves and the like that has just missed out on becoming compost or green bin rubbish. It's the organic matter in all it's stages that keeps me interested and keeps my looking gear in action.
