Artwork Description

Photograph on paper

Signed on the front.

When I moved into the town where I now live, Fryerstown, Victoria, a very sad looking rose received a harsh pruning from my mother-in-law. The next season it bloomed so bountifully, I was surprised. It always amazes me how resilient and delicate roses are, despite harsh treatment and rough conditions. The rose maintains an exquisite tenderness, amongst fierceness and intensity and I look to the rose as a reminder to remain true to your core, even if the world around you seems brutal in comparison.
