Venus throughout history has depicted the pinnacle of feminine beauty. These days the standards of beauty and what women aspire to is quite different. Natural and artificially beauty are seen now as one in the same and coexist together. This is the modern day Venus.

While having a focus on portraiture, her works explore topics of self and the mythic often playing off art history's iconography.

Not shying away from body, her works pose larger questions of the female experience.

Alice is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in painting at the Victorian College of the Arts.
