Artwork Description

This is a one-off original painting that cannot be reproduced. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know if you love it. If you can't stop thinking about it and it excites you ... Buy it!

This beautiful abstract alcohol ink painting was inspired by my garden. A flower doesn't think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blossoms. Spring is my favourite time of year - seeing all the beautiful flowers bloom. Spring adds new life and new beauty to all that is. This painting has both blues and purples throughout it. Blue calls to mind feelings of calmness or serenity. While purple is associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition.

This painting comes on 158gsm yupo paper which has been sealed with three layers of Krylon Crystal clear and three layers of Krylon Gloss UV-Resistant Clear. Due to the nature of the ink, you should keep this art piece out of direct sunlight and away from moisture. Initialled on the front.

Note: While every attempt has been made to show this artwork in its correct colours, there may be some variation from different colour makeup on different screens. Frame not included - it is used to help you visualise the painting in a frame.

If you love this style but the size doesn't suit, I'm happy to create a similar piece in the required size-just contact me and we can discuss it.

Artist Bio

Alysia is a registered Nurse and an emerging contemporary artist who creates serene abstract art using primarily alcohol inks. Throughout her life, Alysia has always been fascinated by images and how the world is represented through the eyes and drawings of others.

Naturally, she was drawn to art. She was first introduced to painting at the age of four years, running around her grandmother's private gallery in Tomakin on the South Coast of Australia. The interest was cultivated during her teenage years and further developed as an adult by doing painting courses under the tutorship and mentorship of her grandmother Truda D’Onofrio Ward. Alysia also has a passion for helping people, so she ended up in university studying nursing. She lives with her husband and children in Canberra, Australia and has worked as a nurse at the Canberra hospital for 14 years. Alysia has truly grown from this experience and with the support and encouragement of her family she has returned to her first love of painting.

Alysia invites you to come and see her work and meet her. She is happy to answer all your questions and give you insights into all her creations - she can't wait to meet you!
