Artwork Description

Original Surf Art by Amanda Davidson. This piece is apart of the "Lady Slider" series and like you and me, this lovely surfer has a name and a story.

Wano.....
" A total cruiser............. longboards, snowboards and skateboards are all her thing. She loves rocking out to Fleetwood Mac and drinking double shot lattes. Never one to be sitting down, she is always planning her next adventure before her current one has finished".

The “Lady Slider” series is inspired by the natural grace of women surfers and the beauty and fragility of the ocean. Messages of the oceans vulnerability and sustainable living are relayed throughout the painting via articles that are cut out from old surf magazines. The original paintings are created from a combination of acrylic paint, spray-paint, old surf magazines, paint pens, ink and resin.

Artist Bio

You know that feeling, a little bit too much sun, salt crispy on your skin, your freckles glowing while your hair runs wild. The day that was – is now just a salty memory. Amanda Davidson’s pieces are created with these salty memories in mind and reflect fleeting sandy, sun-kissed moments. Based on the Sunshine Coast, Qld. When she isn’t surfing or looking after her family – she is most defiantly she is creating something.
