Artist Bio

Working with oils or acrylics on canvas, the striking natural beauty of Western Australia is the primary focus and inspiration for Amanda Dean's abstract landscape works.
Her canvases, depicting Wheatbelt, South West forests and beach vistas, capture a physical and emotional moment in time.
A resident of Fremantle, the unique local features, rivers aspects, parks and beaches also provide a rich source for her work.

Amanda is well known as a Timpanist and Percussionist, performing in orchestral, music theatre and education ensembles. She has recently returned to the fine arts.

She currently has works on display at the David Giles Art Gallery, 49B High St Fremantle, and has been involved in group exhibitions at Studio 11 Fremantle.

Her commissions include, Training Wheat Fields, The Tucker Farm, Crossroads, Bushlands, Balaclava Canola Fields, Swan Yatch Club, Willyabrup, Fremantle Fishing Boat and Karijini.
