Artwork Description

At the beach one sunrise I stood watching dolphins swimming past. Standing on the shore with my camera ready I was delighted when a mother and her baby caught the wave coming in in front of me. I quickly took a photo and then came home to paint the scene.

Artist Bio

I am an Australian artist inspired by the essence of life's blessings all around us. I am fascinated by the light and reflection in nature, water and of the eyes of people and animals. I have been a portrait artist for over 40 years, recently having expanded into exploring colour play of the environment around us and learning abstract art. Using mainly acrylics I am enjoying working more withbinks, watercolours and mixed media. I paint under the name of Amaleigh
