Artwork Description

The Siamese fighting fish, also known as the betta, are known to be highly territorial, males in particular are prone to high levels of aggression. They are beautiful fish but this would be the only way to have them in the same tank without them attacking each other.

Julie-Anne Gatehouse is a self-taught artist living in Brisbane.
She works with acrylic paint on canvas
A mixture of abstract meets traditional landscapes and animals with the use of vivid colours and unusual perspective.
