Making Memories

Making Memories has been created using a favourite colour combination of mine. I love the combination of oranges and deep blues it is such a striking and powerful palette. The inspiration for this painting comes from my love of colour and representing nature. I have so many fond memories of being outside and playing as a child in the garden and nearby parks. To this day I still love to notice the changing of the colours of the leaves as the seasons pass by. Noticing the different levels of colour and light on the flowers and how this changes depending on what time of day it is. Memories are a wonderful thing to make and keep in our thoughts, it is something we can all cherish and have forever.

Amber Gittins has been a practicing professional artist since 2019, with an extensively growing following of art collectors from all around the world. Amber completed her Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication at the University of South Australia and then moved overseas living and working in London for 7 years. Amber is now living in Mount Gambier, Australia and is enjoying exploring the relationship between nature, colour and emotional presence in her latest artworks.

Amber draws inspiration from the Australian landscape and its botanical forms. Amber translates elements of the natural world into abstract compositions that focus more on feeling over their representation.


Through layered colour, organic movement and considered placement, Amber aims to create paintings that bring a sense of calm, balance and natural energy into a space. Nature acts as a starting point — a reference for growth, rhythm and softness — while abstraction allows the work to remain open, personal and enduring.


Each piece is created intuitively, with attention to colour formations and harmony. Amber is drawn to how colour can influence and impact a room and how art can anchor an interior, shaping not only how a space looks, but how it feels.


Amber’s work is intended to be lived with — collected for its emotional resonance, longevity and ability to connect the beauty of the natural world with contemporary interiors.
