Drawing on paper
Signed on the front.
This piece was inspired by a photo of little rock pools at the Domain. There’s something intriguing about rock pools, and I’m fascinated by their incredible diversity. Their contours and depths are all so different with little nooks and crannies for creatures to live in.
I have re created the beauty of this rock pool that I stumbled across with the water lapping at it’s edges, alive with the movement from the tide washing in and receding out. The people who are facing away from each other are both in a foetal like position and have somewhat blended into the rock pool. They are akin to the limpets on the rocks waiting for the tide or sheltering themselves from the external elements.
This drawing speaks of time, healing and growth where something that is lost can be found again with the next rising of the tide.
