Sunburnt Seascape

This piece is inspire by my current coastal home. It is typical for its blue waters and beige sand but one evening the sands looked orange because of the smoke from the local burn offs tinting the sunset skies. I loved the contrasting colours and so I threw myself into creating my interpretation, bringing to life the memory of the fleeting scene.

Hello, I'm Amber from the beautiful Hervey Bay in QLD. Having grown up close to the ocean, I draw my inspiration from the ever-changing seascapes. In 2018 my family and I lived in rural country QLD where water was scarce and the seaside was a days trip away. This is when my love of the water transpired onto canvas. Working with mixed media such as impasto, acrylics, inks and resin it has allowed me to bring movement and depth to my compositions.
Each piece I venture to create has brought me a sense of freedom and joy which I hope others can feel too.
