Anne-Marie salutes the landscape and its creatures in her acrylic and resin paintings.
Working mainly on large format canvas, Anne-Marie hopes to share the marvel she feels at the vast richness and colour of our country.
Anne-Marie grew up in outback WA and spent much of her youth peering out a light aircraft window. The experience of “spotting” in sheep and cattle musters and flying long distances to boarding school led to a fascination with viewing Australia’s beautiful landscapes from a ‘higher plane’.
After 30 years in the corporate world, Anne-Marie is relatively new to art and it has quickly become a passion.
Anne-Marie strives to communicate the enormity and fragility of our country, the lessons we can learn from our environment and the emotions we can tap into as we contemplate our place within these landscapes.
Anne-Marie still spends as much time as she can in the bush and flies often with her brother and friends. Her family have taken up drone flying to help capture images of inspiring landscapes.
