The King River in Western Australia's far north is an endless source of fascination for me. The curves, the colours, the passage towards the sea. This is my second attempt at painting this magical spot. I think because it reminds me of the twists and turns and colours of life. One never knows what lies beyond the curve. Let's enjoy it whilst we can.
The original of this piece was painted in acrylic on stretched canvas. Many layers of colour were used in a wet / dry process to obtain the depth of cloud reflection in the water at dusk.
