Hi I love to paint still life and nature. I am based in Sydney's beautiful Northern Beaches and I paint in my own home. I try to paint from life or from sketches I have done plein air
My background is in the law where I worked for almost 30 years as a solicitor. I gave up that career to focus on my art as I have always had a strong interest in art and design. I grew up in Wollongong and my father was a great influence in my life. He was a very accomplished amateur artist working mostly in watercolours. Our home was always filled with art and my mother was talented in sewing and craft.
I am currently studying a Diploma of Visual Art at Sydney Art School.
I live with my teenage son and 4 cats who are often subjects of my paintings. I am greatly influenced by the French impressionists and I love to paint in a loose style using acrylics and sometimes oils.
