Artwork Description

This piece is an expressive abstract work created on recycled cardboard using a mix of leftover paints and art waste. Layers of deep navy, violet, and blush pink blend with bold gestural marks and organic drop-like shapes, evoking a sense of movement, reflection, and inner narrative. The visible texture of the cardboard adds an earthy rawness, reminding us of the beauty in imperfection and the stories held in discarded materials. This piece is part of an ongoing sustainable art practice, where each work honors both creativity and conscious reuse.

Artist Bio

I am an artist, surface & textile designer based in Melbourne, Australia. I specialise in abstract artwork with my preferred medium being acrylic on cotton canvas. Being creative is something that has always played a part in my life but it's not until I started studying textile & screen print design that I rediscovered my love of drawing, painting & digital art. Art is therapy for me and it makes me happy, my artwork is bright and colourful and I hope it brings joy to others. Colour is a big inspiration in my work and my bright abstract pieces are inspired by the things around me. I think colour brings so much joy to our lives so I am naturally drawn to all things colourful. I was born in Melbourne, but I love traveling and have been inspired by textiles and art all around the world. When I'm not painting I working as a childrenswear designer.
