Artwork Description

“Plant Therapy” is a contemporary botanical still life celebrating the restorative power of indoor plants and the simple rituals of nurturing living things. A collection of lush foliage, cascading vines, patterned pots, and carefully arranged greenery creates a vibrant sanctuary, inviting the viewer to pause, breathe, and reconnect with nature.

Inspired by the calming influence of houseplants and the joy of cultivating a personal green space, this original painting explores themes of wellbeing, growth, and self-care. Set against a deep blue background, the bright greens and blues evoke a sense of tranquillity and abundance, transforming an everyday corner of the home into a place of refuge and renewal.

This colourful botanical artwork is ideal for plant lovers, gardeners, and collectors seeking contemporary Australian art that brings warmth, colour, and a sense of calm to interior spaces.

Artist Bio

My paintings are vibrant, bold and eye-catching. I love bright colours that evoke a feeling of joy and delight!

I paint imaginative urban-themed environments, landscapes, gardens, wilderness, mountains and character houses.

The palettes of my paintings are consistently strikingly vivid that bring energy and life to my harmonious compositions.

My work leans towards an abstract stylisation with simplified shapes and block colours, but this is balanced with intricate details and patterns. I like to think of it as a maximalist-minimalist style.

Each piece focuses on a balance between the foreground and background which guides the viewer through the paintings.

My background is in landscape architecture and urban design. My passion for my place making career is an influence on my work. I focus on creating an aspirational “sense of place” and utopic vision, mostly set around my home in the Moreton Bay region in South-East Queensland.
