Artwork Description

Acrylic on linen

Signed certificate of authenticity.

Behind Nyinyilki, which is also known as Main Base, there's a large salt pan that is very important to the Kaiadilt people, because it is also the resting place of the Redbill. Also the story place of Thuwathu (Rainbow Serpent).

Red oval and rectangular shapes on blue canvasRed dominant color sweeping from top of canvas like sand dune on to a mangrove salt pan.
Greenery at bottom of art workThe entire work is painted in ocher colors of res, yellow ,white and pink. There is a river of white that streams from the top to the midway point which seems to have melded with the ocher colors, giving the impression that rains have just fallen on the land creating a fusion of colors. The entire canvas is painted ocher in colors of orange, yellow and red, colors of a salt pan. There's traces of pink and the small whites that makes it appears like the rising tide has gone and mingled the colors just a tinge.
