In The Shoals

A contemporary abstract style influenced by my love of the water. I’m discovering a newfound fascination for abstract art and with this piece I have focused on colour, clean lines rather than my usual focus on technique. The sand and turquoise coloured lines have an organic flow that remind me of standing on sandbanks in Brunswick River in humid summer evenings.

An Australian born, life-long artist, Amy began her study with ink and oils as a child. She is now a contemporary multidisciplinary artist that particularly enjoys creating psychologically calming landscapes and portraits.
Growing up in the Byron Shire, Amy’s artworks are largely inspired by nature. She enjoys painting or illustrating people as well and is moved by the strong human spirit. She lives in 20+ years of sobriety, studies Psychology and would one day like to offer art therapy to others.
